Chapter Two Pt 1: Loose Ends

A few weeks later Nathan packed their bags and told Savahanna they were moving, she was taken back by his sudden actions and didn't have much time to react. He told her that he had bought a house and it was ready sooner than he expected. Unsure what to think of this she followed her husband without asking any further questions.

The house was quite beautiful, fully furnished and well maintained. It was perfect for retirement and for their kids and grand kids to visit. But Savahanna couldn't help but feel that all this luxury came with a heavy price. Afraid to ask how he managed to purchase this house, she asked Olive to stop by and see if she could get any information from him. Olive was confused, but did as her mother asked.

Olive took one look at the house and was speechless, she didn't know where to begin with her questions.

Nathan could tell something was wrong, he knew his daughter and was prepared to hear her announce she was pregnant by some jobless squatter.

Instead Olive exploded in a whirlwind of questions about his sudden move and the house and why her mother was not home at this time of night. She demanded answers and not only answers she wanted ones that made sense. But Nathan was a proud secretive man who was armed with charm, he simply, in a sophisticated way, explained that it was none of her concern and everything was alright.

In town Genevieve was having her own problems, she was still trying to get her boyfriend to commit to her and their son Jasper. He was going to become a teenager soon and he had not spent any time with him. Jason agreed to meet her in the parking lot to talk about the situation.

When he got there however, talking was the last thing he wanted to do.

Gizelle had been roaming the house lately unsettled. She and Amelio have been getting along well but she was unsure where she wanted things to go. She had never had a real boyfriend or relationship and didn't know what it was supose to feel like.

Olive was still a bit disturbed by her fathers dismissive behaviour, insulted that he couldn't trust her with the truth. She had not spoken to her mother since she asked her to stop by, and was not in the mood to play devils advocate.

Feeling that he was loosing Gizelle's interests Amelio started to doubt his place in her heart, he knew how he felt about her but was he making it apparent to her. He then decided that he would take the necessary actions to help her see that they were perfect for each other.
